Affiliate #2 APPROVED (Legal Zoom)

I just received an email from LegalZoom confirming my new affiliate status.  This is a perfect example of just jumping in.

Most companies that have an affiliate program want to see a website with decent traffic and a proven track record before they bother with granting affiliate status.  When I applied for the LegalZoom affiliate program, I had a grand total of three posts on the site.  But, I did have an extensive About Me page as well as a complete Contact page.  I’m can’t be 100% certain, but I’m pretty sure those helped move the process along.

So now, whenever someone clicks on my affiliate link, or on the LegalZoom logo, or whenever I write about the great services they offer (and link to their site), I make 15% of the sale price.  This may seem like small potatoes at this point, but you have to start somewhere right?

If you’re just starting out, or have a personal blog and really love a certain product or service, it never hurts to just give them a call or send an email to ask about an affiliate program.  The most powerful form of advertising is word of mouth, and any smart business would love to have your recommendation.
